Deacon - England
Dave Connaughton (Deacon) was born in Essex, England in 1940. He now lives in a convert barn in Bockleton, near Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, with his wife Pat.
Dave was a soldier, a senior local government officer, a magistrate and a special effects make-up artist. He now works as a full-time writer and cartoonist.
His first cartoon was published in 1955. Since then his work has been published in the UK (Punch, etc), Europe, Cyprus, Kenya, Korea, Hong Kong and the USA.
